Hydration Tips and Guidelines

With the extreme heat across the state and UIL athletics and Marching Band starting up, it is important to stay hydrated when you are going to be outside for extended periods of time.

The UIL has posted on our website some helpful tips and guidelines including what liquids to drink during exercise at the following link: http://www.uiltexas.org/health/info/recommendations-for-hydration.

These tips are important for not just coaches and sponsors, but also for parents and student participants. By reading this section of the UIL website, you will gain helpful knowledge on how to handle the heat as we wait for cooler weather. Be sure to stay hydrated out there!
