The Leaguer Returns To Issue-Based Format

The Leaguer, the official online publication of the UIL, will be returning to an issue-based format effective immediately in hopes to improve readership. The return to this format will be more similar to its original print format. There will be new content for every department and new columns in each issue as there was in the previous printed version of The Leaguer.

The UIL will continue to post updated news articles to the “recent news” section of the UIL homepage and the academics, music and athletics pages, and also continue to utilize social media to relay time-sensitive articles between issues of The Leaguer.

Readers will eventually be able to subscribe to the new format. The subscription will ensure that readers are emailed a reminder when the newest issue is published online.

The first issue will be released on Tuesday, December 6, 2011.  There will be three other new issues released for the 2011-12 school year in February, March and May. No new issues will be released during the summer months when UIL-member schools are on break.
