AUSTIN, TX— A student-athlete at Edcouch-Elsa High School was deemed eligible for varsity athletics by the State Executive Committee of the UIL on Thursday, and any game the student has participated in will have the results remain intact.
After hearing testimony from all interested parties, the State Executive Committee ruled that the student in question is eligible for varsity athletics and as a result of that, the District 32-4A football standings will remain the same. The Conference 4A UIL football playoff brackets will not change.
