AUSTIN, TX—Three student-athletes will remain ineligible as a result of decisions made by the UIL State Executive Committee Wednesday.
Student athletes from San Antonio Churchill and Henrietta Midway High Schools will remain ineligible for varsity athletics after their appeals of prior District Executive Committee decisions were denied. The State Executive Committee ruled that the students are ineligible for changing schools for athletic purposes.
Additionally, the State Executive Committee ruled unanimously that the ineligibility of a student-athlete from Arlington Bowie High School would remain only one year after denying a recommendation to extend the penalty an additional two years.
