AUSTIN, TX— Decisions were handed down by the State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League on Tuesday regarding the eligibility of student athletes.
A student athlete from Richardson Berkner High School had their appeal to regain varsity eligibility denied by the State Executive Committee upholding the previous ruling by the District 9-5A Executive Committee.
In other action, two student athletes from West Sabine High School will remain ineligible for varsity athletics after their appeals were denied by the State Executive Committee. After hearing testimony from all interested parties, it was ruled that the student athletes changed schools for athletic purposes.
