AUSTIN, TX— Three student-athletes at Weslaco High School will remain ineligible and the boys basketball team must forfeit all games in which those players participated, as a result of rulings handed down by the State Executive Committee of the UIL on Wednesday.
The State Executive Committee upheld the previous decision of the District 32-5A Executive Committee ruling the students ineligible for varsity athletics.
Additionally, Weslaco High School’s request for an exception to the mandatory forfeiture rule was denied. The Weslaco High School boys basketball team must forfeit all games in which the ineligible student-athletes participated.
